What We Do

P.A.W.S. Therapy Team is committed to placing well-trained, certified therapy dog teams in programs that promote comfort, caring, and emotional support through the special bond between humans and dogs.

Our members proudly volunteer with local county courts, children services agencies, crisis response teams, schools, healthcare facilities, and community organizations throughout the region. Whether responding during times of crisis, visiting a child facing a medical challenge, an adult in recovery, a senior in long-term care, or simply offering companionship and encouragement, our handlers and dogs provide meaningful support where it is needed most.  Our volunteers help create meaningful human connection through the healing presence of a dog​

As an American Kennel Club recognized therapy dog organization, PAWS Therapy Team is proud to support the continued growth and development of therapy dog work throughout the Mahoning Valley and surrounding communities.

We never charge for therapy dog visits. Every handler and dog team serves entirely on a volunteer basis because we believe comfort, compassion, and companionship should be shared freely with those who need it most. As an all-volunteer charitable organization, donations and contributions are essential in helping us continue our mission and expand the reach of therapy dog visitation services. All donations are tax deductible.
